SAKÉ SUMMIT 2002 CONSUMER JUDGING

On May 3rd, the world's leading saké experts, from Japan and the US, will gather on the 54th floor of New York's premier luxury boutique hotel, to conduct a sommelier supervised blind tasting of 35 premium and ultra-premium sakés to determine the best saké available in the United States.

Will the New World American made sakés triumph or will the traditional Made in Japan sakés continue to hold the title of "Best Saké in the US"? Or will the "sleeper", a line of new premium sakés out of Australia, which will be tasted for the first time in the US at the Saké Summit surprise everyone?

On May 4th, we invite the public to join us to review the professional judges findings in the Saké Summit Consumer Judging from 12 noon to 5 PM. We will be announcing the consumer results at 4:30 PM…will the consumer choose the same sakés as the professional judges? Throughout the day, there will be special saké seminars including Saké USA 101, Saké and Food Pairings, Saké Home Brewing and Saké in Japan.
