TASTE for KNOWLEDGE Wine Auction
"Taste for Knowledge" auction of Napa Valley wine benefiting the Napa Valley Unified School District will offer bidders an array of hard-to-find Napa Valley wines, most in magnum bottles. The event, which includes silent and live auction lots, will be held Saturday, November 3, 4 - 8 p.m. at the Napa Valley Expo, 575 Third Street, Napa.
Visit the auction's online catalogue: www.tasteforknowledge.org. Lots include wines from Harlan Estates, Dalla Valle, Staglin Family Vineyard, Diamond Creek Vineyards, Paradigm Winery, PlumpJack Winery and many others.
The auction also offers the chance to enjoy a rare array of wines from some 30 wineries being poured, plus a feast of hors d¹oeuvres and delicacies from some of the Valley¹s best restaurants.
The San Francisco Chronicle calls Taste for Knowledge, "One of Napa Valley¹s best kept secrets."
"Year after year Taste for Knowledge has proven to be a terrific venue for serious wine collectors to win bids on great hard-to-find Napa Valley wines," Michaela Rodeno, CEO, St. Supery Vineyards & Winery and honorary chair of 2001's Taste for Knowledge. "Napa Valley wineries are thrilled to support this event this is the auction that benefits our schools and our children."
Now in its 17th year, "Taste for Knowledge," benefits the 16,000 students of the Napa Valley Unified School District.
"Through the generosity of local wineries, this event has raised $1-million toward the betterment of education in Napa Valley," says David Brown, superintendent, Napa Valley Unified School District. "Thanks to tremendous annual donations of wine-industry time, talent and world-class wines our children are enjoying enhanced educational opportunities."
